Indie Travel Podcast - Travel blogs, Indie Travel Media LtdIndie Travel Media Ltd was founded in 2009 by Craig and Linda Martin of Auckland New Zealand. It was built on the success of their two earliest travel websites, Indie Travel Podcast (founded 2006) and Eurail Stories (2008), which are still part of the Indie Travel network.

Craig and Linda continue to produce content while travelling around the world full-time. 2010 finds them in Australasia, South America, the United States, Europe and Asia. This location-independent lifestyle seperates their company and products from many other successful travel websites: there are no desk staff at Indie Travel Media.

Now, Indie Travel Media Ltd advises, trains and creates content for a range of international clientelle, from hostel owners to food review sites, campervan companies to board game vendors.

Craig Martin

Craig Martin - Managing Director of Indie Travel Media LtdCraig graduated from the University of Auckland with a BA in English and Film, TV and Media Studies in 2002. Following that, he trained to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and started travelling full-time in February 2006.

Fascinated by the transient online and real-life travelling communities — and wanting to help people avoid his mistakes —, he started Indie Travel Podcast with his wife, Linda.

In the past, Craig has run a tutoring company and worked as a trainer and coach during University. He holds qualifications in counselling, plays the bagpipes, has a black belt in Taekwon-do and has an international inland waterways license. He’s intrigued by social networking and damn good online content.

Craig is also a Managing Partner of SeriouslyBoard.co.nz Ltd and Top Travel Content, with another appointment on it’s way in late 2010.

Linda Martin

Linda Martin - Managing Editor of Indie Travel Media LtdLinda is a self-confessed travel junkie and chocolate addict, with an added fondness for reading, wine and the Spanish language. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology, a Certificate in TESOL and another in Editing, and several counselling qualifications.

With her husband Craig, she has been travelling full-time since February 2006, and later that year they started the Indie Travel Podcast in order to help other travellers avoid the same mistakes they’d made.
